On 14-25 November 2022, the 19th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) took place in Panama. Over 2,500 participants from more than 160 countries witnessed the tightening of protection for many species, which was largely reached by consensus. The Czech delegation also included three representatives of the Centre for Environmental Forensic Sciences, who participated as experts in the negotiations as part of the successful Czech EU Presidency.
