On 11-12 September 2024, the Czech Republic hosted an international forensic conference in Prague focused on wildlife crime. Environmental Forensic Sciences Centre of the Faculty of Science of Charles University organised the conference in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment and the European Commission. Nearly 90 experts from 20 countries around the world gathered in the historic Carolinum Hall to present and discuss the latest trends in combating illegal trade in endangered species. This was the first ever international conference where scientists and specialists involved in the development and application of wildlife forensic methods came together in one place with police officers, customs officers and inspectors, bringing the academic sector together with environmental law enforcement agencies.
